Are permitting decisions connected to the project schedule?

Finland’s environmental administration and permitting coordination changed in January 2026. A clear permitting plan still needs to align land use planning, applicable environmental procedures, construction permits and infrastructure approvals with the project schedule. Dacon manages permitting coordination with the client, designers and relevant authorities, tracking required inputs, responsibilities and outstanding decisions.

Does power availability match the phased construction plan?

Grid connection capacity and timing are site-specific and may depend on network reinforcements. Early discussions should connect the available power, substation delivery and staged campus build-out with commissioning milestones. Dacon’s project managers manage electrical and substation schedules within the wider construction programme and coordinate interfaces between the network operator and delivery teams.

Are supplier milestones connected to what the site needs?

Client-purchased equipment must fit the construction and commissioning sequence. Dacon manages supplier information, delivery and installation interfaces, and readiness milestones to align equipment delivery with testing and handover.

Are heat recovery connections and delivery schedules aligned?

Finland’s district heating networks create opportunities to recover and use data center waste heat. Feasibility depends on local heat demand, technical requirements and commercial agreements. Cooling systems, heat recovery infrastructure and connections need coordinated schedules. Dacon manages agreed coordination tasks between the client, energy company, designers and delivery teams to align technical interfaces and delivery milestones.

Will the facility have the data it needs from day one?

EU rules already require reporting on energy performance and sustainability indicators for data centers within scope. Measurement data on energy use, water use and heat recovery, together with data ownership and handover documentation, should be considered during design. Dacon coordinates responsibilities and tracks readiness for operational monitoring and applicable reporting as part of testing and commissioning.
